The presence of God and what it has to do with those special worship times.
We can break down the presence of God into three basic categories.
First is the Omni presence of God.
This is the concept that God is everywhere all times, and more so that God's creation is always within God's presence.this type of awareness of God allows us to be in a state of worship/submission at all times. We can worship God because we recognize that he is available to us no matter where we are. The Omni presence of the Lord gives us the ability to "pray without ceasing, be thankful for all things, and worship the Lord always"
The indwelling presence of God.
This allows us as individuals to connect with God on a deeper level. God comes to dwell within us when we receive him as our personal savior. This indwelling of God comes in the form of his Holy Spirit and allows us a personal one-on-one connection to God at all times. This individual audience would the King of kings and Lord of lords is only possible because he considers us his children into wells within his children by choice.
The manifest presence of God.
This third form of God's presence is special in that, He is felt by our physical being.
The manifest presence of God is something that is often described by people (whether saved or unsaved) as having some sort of physical connection to God's presence. People who have experienced a manifest presence of God say things like "I felt God, God touched me, I felt heavy, the air was thick, and so on". This manifestation is something that God is willing to do when his people call for it. In many churches this manifestation of God's presence is felt during the musical portion of a worship service. It is what is meant when preachers call for God to come to a place and to make himself known.
People's reaction to God's manifestation is based on how they physically connect with what God is doing. If you've ever been in a worship service that allows people to react openly to what God is doing you will see a wide variety of reactions. This is because people experience Gods presence in different ways based on what's going on in our lives, and at that particular place in which God decided to make himself known.
